Shivapuri national park
Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is a special place in Nepal. It became the ninth national park in Nepal in 2002. You can find it in the middle of the hills, on the northern side of the Kathmandu Valley. The park is named after a tall mountain called Shivapuri Peak, which stands at a height of 2,732 meters (8,963 feet). The park covers a large area of about 159 square kilometers (61 square miles). It spreads across three districts: Kathmandu, Nuwakot, and Sindhupalchowk. It also touches 23 smaller areas called Village Development Committees. Additionally, on the western side, it goes all the way to the Dhading District. This national park is special because it protects many plants, animals, and natural beauty. People visit the park to enjoy the scenic views, hike through the forests, and experience the wonders of nature.
